About Intercultural Institute of Japan
Our mission is to create a society where people respect each other with great understanding of national, ethnic, cultural and linguistic differences.
President KATO Sanae
We consider “CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATIONS” meaning “To understand others’ ways of life, sense of values and all cultural differences including their nations’ political/economic backgrounds, and try to coexist with them for the true mutual understanding amongst different kinds of people.” That’s been our fundamental philosophy of education. When the Intercultural Institute of Japan was established in 1977, there were few Japanese language schools in the country. We have dedicated ourselves to the Japanese language industry and have been leading it ever since. Although times are changing constantly, we have managed to keep our philosophy unchanged and develop our structure to suit.
The language business which is focused on “communication”, has allowed us to expand our business. Firstly, “Teaching Japanese language” aimed at training students, this enables Japan to connect with foreign countries. Secondly “Business of training Japanese Teachers” aimed at training teachers, this will allow teachers to teach the meaning of true communication. Lastly, with the long history or our two main businesses, we were urged to open ILC (Intercultural Language Center) and satisfy the demands of people, companies and society who need Japanese language education
With the idea of CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATIONS, we are sending out very talented people who deliver distinguished, knowledgeable and intelligent communicational technique to the world.
