We allow our students to experience Japanese culture throughout the year. Students will be able to experience the traditional culture of Japan, the latest trends, and much more.
Indigo Dyeing
This is a traditional method of dyeing using indigo. This beautiful color is known as “Japan Blue” and there are many fans of indigo dye throughout the world. The design and color of each item is unique and you can create one-of-a-kind items that cannot be duplicated.
Cooking class
We will make traditional Japanese dishes like tempura, okonomiyaki, and Japanese confectionary. These can be made surprisingly easily, so we hope you can learn these and make them for your family and friends.
Wearing Kimonos
How about wearing the beautiful and vividly colored traditional attire of Japan? We strongly recommended you experience wearing a kimono, a rare opportunity for students in Japan.
Going to see sports game
Are you interested in watching spots games? You can go to see baseball or football game with us in this course. Depends on the season, it might be able to see Sumo as well.
Ghibli Museum, Mitaka
It is very popular museum designed by Miyazaki Hayao who is the prominent director of many popular animated feature films.
Cherry blossom viewing party
They bloom and usually fall within two weeks, before the leaves come out. We get togather and celebrate under the blossoms in this program.
Tea Ceremony
The Japanese tea ceremony is a multifaceted traditional activity powdered green tea, or matcha, is ceremonially prepared and served to others. You can join and experience this in the traditional Japanese house.
Viewing Autumnal leaves
We go hiking to the Takao Mountain and enjoy the view of autumn leaves.
Sightseeing in Asakusa
For most of the twentieth century, Asakusa was the major entertainment district in Tokyo. The area has a less frenetic and more traditionally Japanese atmosphere than some other neighborhoods of Tokyo.
Making Soba noodle
Soba is a type of thin Japanese noodle made from buckwheat flowr. You can experience making soba from the flour.
